What to Bring to Your Closing
You have finally made it to your closing! You are nearing the finish line of closing on your house, and you want to make sure you do everything you can on your end to help the closing run smoothly. This can be an overwhelming, exciting, and emotional time, so to guide you through, we have created a “what to bring to your closing” checklist!
A Valid Photo ID
You must come to your closing with a valid photo ID. Some common examples include your driver’s license or your passport! Whichever form of ID you choose, be sure to check that it is not expired. If you are in the process of renewing your driver’s license, please bring your DMV papers as well.
A Cashier’s Check
Remember to bring a cashier’s check for the funds to close. If the transaction is under $2,000, a personal check is acceptable. It is always good practice to bring your personal checkbook with you to the closing. Most likely, you will not need it, but it is good to have just in case.
A Voided Check
If you wish to have your proceeds wired to your account, be sure to bring a voided check to the closing.
