Our guest today is one of our very own, Brooke Volkert. Brooke is an account executive at All American Title Company and works directly with real estate agents and loan officers just like you in order to build their businesses and brands by creating valuable connections and relationships.
Why is LinkedIn better than Facebook or Instagram?
Linkedin is where FB was 5-7 years ago. Now you have to PAY for people to even see your content.
On LinkedIn, not only will you see your connections posts and they’ll see yours, but their connections will actually see your content as well! It spiderwebs from there and grows the eyes on your posts exponentially.
You don’t have to invest much time on LinkedIn but when you are on there, make a note of the huge life changes people are documenting on this site! If your client is celebrating a work anniversary, what a great way to reach out to stay top of mind and reach out to congratulate. If you see they’re moving to a company in a different state, see if you can recommend a realtor in their area and collect a referral fee!

Must have a professional headshot. Profiles with professional headshots get 14X more views than ones without! Don’t miss out on those views because of one picture!
COVER PHOTO
Most people have these on Facebook but very few utilize this tool on LinkedIn. Elevate your cover photo on linkedin and have that be your digital business card. Never make it difficult to find your contact information!

Linkedin is essentially a professional dating site. People are analyzing whether they want to work with you or not, so make the decision easy for them! LinkedIn is the only social media site where you can really highlight who you are because they allow a high number of characters. For example, one real estate agent used this space to highlight all of her 5 star reviews. Your first impression of this agent is her ability to professionally and successfully execute a real estate transaction.
How to farm on LinkedIn (8:15)
You have a listing near a large company
You are hosting an open house
Search the company on LinkedIn
Send connection invites with a short personal message inviting them to your open house! “I see you work at ABC company. I’m hosting an open house on Thursday from 4-6pm with light refreshments. Wouldn’t it be nice to live 5 minutes from where you work?!”
